Pratima Agarwal, MD, is a fellowship-trained laryngologist specializing in the care of voice, airway, and swallowing disorders. She completed her Laryngology Fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic after Otolaryngology–Head & Neck Surgery residency at Boston University Medical Center, where she served as Administrative Chief Resident and held a faculty appointment as Clinical Instructor of Otolaryngology. Dr. Agarwal earned her MD from the Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine and a BA in Neuroscience from Boston University.
Clinically, Dr. Agarwal treats the full spectrum of laryngeal conditions, including hoarseness and professional voice concerns, vocal fold lesions, vocal cord paralysis, chronic cough, laryngotracheal stenosis, and swallowing difficulties, using advanced in-office blue laser and operative techniques tailored to each patient.
An active researcher and presenter, her work focuses on improving access and outcomes in laryngology and otolaryngology, covering topics such as voice therapy, the impact of social determinants of health, and factors that influence treatment attendance. She has published in peer-reviewed journals and presented at national meetings, earning recognition, including the American Laryngological Association Best Steoboscopy.org Trainee Submission.
Passionate about equitable, patient-centered care, Dr. Agarwal partners closely with speech-language pathologists and multidisciplinary teams to help patients return to comfortable breathing, clear voice, and safe swallowing. She is fluent in English, Hindi, and Spanish, and welcomes patients from diverse backgrounds.
She’s thrilled to be back in her home state and, outside the clinic, enjoys exploring the mountains, playing volleyball, discovering new restaurants and music, and keeping up with her energetic daughter alongside her husband.
