Christopher Lenkeit, D.O.

Dr. Christopher Lenkeit is an otologist and skull base surgeon with advanced fellowship training in otology and lateral skull base surgery. He specializes in the comprehensive care of ear and hearing-related disorders, including chronic ear disease, hearing loss, and balance disorders. With a passion for precision and a strong research background, Dr. Lenkeit brings both technical expertise and thoughtful, patient-centered care to every case.

Originally from the Midwest, Dr. Lenkeit earned his bachelor’s degree in biology with a minor in Bioethics from Loyola University Chicago, graduating magna cum laude. He went on to receive his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from Midwestern University’s Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed his residency in Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery at Michigan State University, where he developed a focused interest in advanced ear surgery and skull base pathology. He recently completed his Advanced Otology and Lateral Skull Base Surgery fellowship in Seattle, Washington.

Dr. Lenkeit’s clinical and academic interests include hearing restoration, cochlear implantation, chronic ear disease, and skull base tumors. His research has been widely published in peer-reviewed journals, with contributions on topics ranging from stapes surgery outcomes and sudden hearing loss to olfactory-related drug effects and rare head and neck pathologies. He has also authored textbook chapters and presented nationally at major otolaryngology conferences.

A recipient of multiple awards, including the AOCOO-HNS Presidential Resident Recognition Award, Dr. Lenkeit has also served in leadership roles within national otolaryngology organizations. He is committed to advancing the field of otology through clinical innovation, research, and mentorship.

As a cochlear implant user himself, Dr. Lenkeit has a unique, personal understanding of hearing loss and chronic ear disorders. Dr. Lenkeit is driven by a desire to improve quality of life for patients with hearing and balance disorders, offering both medical and surgical solutions tailored to each individual’s needs.

When not in the office, Dr. Lenkeit enjoys golf, exploring hiking trails, and spending quality time with his wife and golden retriever, Scout.
